Why I Started a Dream Journal

Even as a young child I recall having insanely vivid dreams. The first dream I ever remember having must have been around the age of four, during which my mom got tied to a playground by some guys in baggy clothes who continuously called her mean names (dark stuff, I know). Needless to say, I didn't want to sleep ever again but alas, I did and continued having extremely weird, entertaining, scary and #wtf dreams. I am really intrigued by the concept of dreaming; the things we think of on a subconscious level and the interesting workings of our minds during REM sleep. In recent years I have become really interested in the concept of lucid dreaming which is something I have been experimenting with recently.
Through the following blog posts, I would like to note down my dreams, dreams I have had in the past and my progress with lucid dreaming. Mainly, I would like to have a place where I'd be able to record my dreams, reflect on them and not have to scroll through tons of chats with my friends in order to find the one I am looking for. Also, in the past several months when explaining my dreams to various people I have continuously said, "I should start a dream journal". So...here it is. I sincerely hope you enjoy this wild ride throughout my dreamland.
Much Love,
Ellie
